He was born in 1950 in Sarıdanışmanlı (Sarıdanişmendli) village of Kadirli.
He went to primary and secondary school in Kadirli.
He passed the Mersin Primary Teacher Training School exam in 1965.
He studied at this school for two years and was selected to Ankara Higher Teacher Training School for higher education by being among the successful students.
He completed his higher education between 1967-1973 at Ankara University Faculty of Science and Ankara Higher Teacher Training School.
He completed his master's degree (1975) and doctorate (1979) at Ankara University Faculty of Science.
He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 1982 and Associate Professor in 1990 at the same university.
He worked at Ankara University Faculty of Science for 23 years and transferred to Kırıkkale University as a Professor in 1997 passed.
He worked in the Biology Department of Gazi University, Faculty of Education between 2001-2017.
