The Economist magazine, dated January 24, 2004, made the following statement:
"The problem is that US interests have changed since September 11th.
During the Cold War, Türkiye's role was to keep the Soviet Union under control.
Today, according to US Ambassador to Turkey Eric Edelman, 'reform in the Islamic world is the US's most important strategic initiative,' and Türkiye's success can play a major role in this."
During Tayyip Erdoğan's separate reception of the leaders of Jewish and Muslim organizations in the US, American Muslim leaders also stated that Türkiye could be a role model for the Islamic world!
Who are the implementers of the reform?
And as co-chair of the Greater Middle East Project!
Would a Muslim who feels Islam in his heart attempt to implement the US's "Islamic reform strategy"?
This Isn't Türkiye being used as a Trojan horse by the US within the Islamic World?
