Those who served in the TMT took their first steps towards Mujahideenship and struggle by taking the following heartfelt oath, placing their hands on the Turkish Flag and the Quran:
"I have dedicated myself to the noble Turkish Nation to resist any and all attacks, wherever and by whomever, on the life, freedom, property, traditions and sanctities of the Turkish Cypriots.
I swear upon my honor and dignity that I will not disclose to anyone what I see, hear, feel and what has been entrusted to me. I will gladly accept the penalty of death for disclosure.
