The geography of Iran, which is an important transition region between Turkestan and Anatolia, is an ancient Turkish homeland where the Turkish culture lives vividly today, as it has been throughout history, where the majority of people of Turkish origin speak Turkish.

However, the Iranian Turks should be evaluated seriously in Türkiye and the Turkish World.

The Iranian Turks should be considered not only together with the South Azerbaijan Turks, but also with the Turkmen Afshar Kazakh Shahseven Qashqai Halach Bayat Karapapak Turks located within the political borders of Iran today, the Turkish cultural geography of the Caucasus, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia and Northern Iraq; Political division should not be the cause of cultural division.
